Manual Stripper
The Kirkpatrick Group, Inc. announces the development of a new product which allows the user to perform surface cleaning of wire rope, independent of the use of their wire rope lubrication system.
It functions by acting as a rotational platform for the Groove Cleaners or one of our new Smooth-Bore Scrapers (for use on non-spin ropes). The same securing principle is utilized as used to tie-down a lubrication collar during the pressure lubrication process. The Manual Stripper includes specially sized bushings which keep the device centered on the wire rope. The bushings also provide the rotational base for the Groove Cleaners. The Manual Stripper is an exceptional tool for the inspection of questionable wire rope, prior to making a decision whether to lubricate it.
Included with each Manual Stripper is the composite housing itself, one Alignment Bushing, two 3/8" shackles and all necessary hardware. Please specify rope size, construction and lay when ordering. Additional Alignment Bushings and Groove Cleaner sets can be ordered separately. Groove Cleaners are not an option if you have non-spin or multi-strand wire rope. Our new Smooth-Bore Scraper assemblies can be ordered for use on wire ropes with more than 8 outer strands.
- The Manual Stripper will accommodate wire rope diameters up to 2 1/2" (64mm).
- 9110-MS: For wire rope diameters 3/8" to 1 1/2" (9mm to 38mm).
- 9111-MS: For wire rope diameters 1 1/2" to 2 1/2" (38mm to 64mm).
